Universal Fermi velocity in highly compressed hydride superconductors

چکیده

The Fermi velocity vF is one of the primary characteristics any conductor, including superconductor. For conductors at ambient pressure, several experimental techniques have been developed to measure vF, and, for instance, Zhou et al. [Nature 423, 398 (2003)] reported that high-Tc cuprates exhibited a universal nodal vF,univ=2.7±0.5×105 m/s. However, there no measurements in highly compressed near-room-temperature superconductors (NRTS), owing challenges. Here, answer question existence NRTS materials, we analyze full inventory data on ground-state upper critical field Bc2(0) these materials and find this class exhibits vF,univ=1/1.3×2Δ0/kBTc×105 m/s, where Δ(0) amplitude energy gap. ratio 2Δ0/kBTc varies within narrow range 3.2≤2Δ0/kBTc≤5, so vF,univ lies 2.5 × 105 m/s ≤ 3.8 which similar values found cuprate counterparts materials.

Angle-resolved mapping of the Fermi velocity in quasi-two-dimensional conductors and superconductors: Probing quasiparticles in nodal superconductors

We describe a technique which enables angle-resolved mapping of the in-plane Fermi velocity svFd for a quasi-two-dimensional sQ2Dd conductor. The method is based on a magnetic resonance effect in the ac conductivity for in-plane magnetic fields, which has recently been successfully applied to a Q2D organic conductor. In this article, we consider the possibility of using this method to probe the...

Universal Relation Connecting Fermi Surface to Symmetry of the Gap Function in BCS-Like Superconductors

A universal relation connecting Fermi surface (FS) to the symmetry of the gap function in BCS-like superconductors is derived. It is found that the shape of the FS can be deduced directly from the symmetry of the superconducting gap function, and is also influenced by the next nearest-neighbor overlapping. The application of this relation to cuprate superconductors is discussed. There is observ...

Universal Compressed Text Indexing

The rise of repetitive datasets has lately generated a lot of interest in compressed self-indexes based on dictionary compression, a rich and heterogeneous family that exploits text repetitions in different ways. For each such compression scheme, several different indexing solutions have been proposed in the last two decades. To date, the fastest indexes for repetitive texts are based on the ru...

Relaxation and Thermal Conductivity of Hot and Thermal Quasiparticles and Fermi Liquid Interactions in d-wave Superconductors

In this paper, we calculate theoretically the relaxation rates of hot, thermal and antinodal quasiparticles by using Fermi’s golden rule. The transition probabilities at low temperatures express in terms of Bogoliubov coefficients, singlet and triplet scattering amplitudes and dimensionless Landau parameters. The values of Landau parameters may be determined by comparison with the experimental ...

Space dependent Fermi velocity in strained graphene.

We investigate some apparent discrepancies between two different models for curved graphene: the one based on tight-binding and elasticity theory, and the covariant approach based on quantum field theory in curved space. We demonstrate that strained or corrugated samples will have a space-dependent Fermi velocity in either approach that can affect the interpretation of local probe experiments i...
